Description
The Alphacool D-RAM water block is one of the few RAM water block, which utilize the RAM heatspreader for cooling.
Copper cooling plate and Acetal top create the typical Alphacool design, and a well-engineered mounting mechanism allows quick, easy and safe installation of the unit: Remove the old passive cooling fins, usually fixated by 3 hexagonal socket screws, then remove the top piece and the old thermal compound. Now apply new thermal compound ad fixate the water block with the screws from the passive heatsink – Done! Mainboard compatibility: Designed for up to 4 neighboring RAM slots, this water block can of course also be used with less slots / RAM modules. At least 2 RAM modules are needed for installation. On Mainboards with 2 slots, the water block protrudes a bit on the sides, but works just fine! Even at low flow rates of less than 60l/h, this water block achieves exceptional cooling performance.
