For a direct connection of a 3Pin Molex plug (CPU fan, case fan etc.) with the Mainboard. This adapter allows the operation of a fan at 9,5Volts instead of 12 Volts, therefore effectively reducing fan noise. The grat advantage of this adaptor is that the fan's speed can still be monitored directly by the Motherboard.
